Sko-Die E-Newsletter – April 2023

Patrick Steininger

In this edition of the Sko-Die e-newsletter we will highlight our new vertical welder as well as our upgraded fineblanking press. Our continued investment in the company and machinery continues to put Sko-Die in a position to provide unparalleled capabilities and service to our customers.

In April, Sko-Die had the pleasure of hosting a group of members of the Technology & Manufacturing Association, of which Sko-Die is also a member. It was a great opportunity to support manufacturing and provide a chance for members to network.

In addition to our ongoing investment in machinery and equipment, we continue to invest in our people and grow our team with top level talent. In this edition of our e-newsletter we will introduce you to two key employees who are making a significant impact on the company and its success.

Regards,

Patrick Steininger
President

Sko-Die Adds New Vertical Welder and Upgrades to Fineblanking Press

Our new Vertical IW-10 Welding Machine is outfitted with Allen Bradley controls, 4 Miller Tig Welding units, 4 CK industrial torches, and two station turntable for easy loading and unloading. Coupled with our current welder, this new machine has enabled us to double our productivity.

Our 250 Ton Osterwalder Fineblanking Press was rebuilt with all new controls, new guide rails, bearings for ram, reseal cylinder, and new electrical panels. These enhancements help to ensure reliability and consistent quality.

Sko-Die Hosts Technology & Manufacturing Association Member Event

Sko-Die recently hosted a group of Technology & Manufacturing Association (TMA) members for a lunch and tour of the Sko-Die facility. TMA (of which Sko-Die has been a member since 1948) is an independent trade organization (founded in 1925) focused on assisting and promoting small and mid-size manufacturers. The event provided an opportunity for TMA members to network and see Sko-Die’s state-of-the-art facility firsthand.

“Throughout Sko-Die’s history and through our membership in TMA, we have strongly believed in supporting fellow manufacturers and the organizations that provide valuable benefit to the whole of the manufacturing community. TMA has been truly valuable in that regard, and we were happy to host such a great group of members at our facility,” said Patrick Steininger, President of Sko-Die.
