Management Team
MARIO SAUCEDO
Every customer shipment that leaves Sko-Die’s shipping dock requires special packaging. Mario Saucedo, Sko-Die’s Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, is responsible for the packaging design that protects the product through to its destination. No two shipments are the same, and all shipments must be protected from handling and environmental conditions. Custom “egg” cartons/boxes, banding, crating, palletizing, returnable packaging systems, shrink wrapping, VCI paper and plastic. Whatever it takes to keep the product meeting Sko-Die’s high quality standards and to make sure shipments meet on-time delivery demands.
Mario’s talents go far beyond product packaging as he is also responsible for shipping documentation, transportation and receiving all materials and merchandise that keep Sko-Die’s production running smoothly. He also supports the computerized inventory control and Kanban/JIT supply chain management systems and works closely with multiple vendors who supply steel, heat treating, plating and packaging materials.
In 1998 Mario began his career at Sko-Die as a machine operator. Over the next several years, he worked as a die setter, quality inspector and welding and laser machine programmer/operator. Along with this hands on experience, Mario completed training classes in quality inspection, inventory management and control and Lean manufacturing. With his promotion to his present position, Mario credits this experience and formal education for his ability to successfully interact with all the departments he deals with on a daily basis. Production, tool room, quality inspection, purchasing, accounting, billing, customer service and sales all rely on Mario to provide up-to-the-minute information. His contributions are a key component to Sko-Die’s ability to deliver “Trusted Manufacturing Excellence.”
Mario is proud to be associated with Sko-Die, a business he sees as being prominent in the metal stamping industry. He truly appreciates and is thankful for the opportunity he was given. With the great people he works with, from his co-workers to executive management, he looks forward to his personal growth in the coming years.
Mario has been married for 25 years and has four children who are attending elementary school through college. That is only a part of the extremely busy life he has outside of Sko-Die. Mario gives back to his community as part of the R/B United Soccer Club, a very big part. He is in charge of this club that consists of 150 players from the Chicago land area ranging from the ages of 6 – 18. The teams play year-round and travel to competitions against teams/clubs/academies throughout the United States. He is proud to say that R/B United claims back-to back national championships, but he is most proud of helping the children build character and leadership skills that will carry them through the rest of their lives.
